New family member!

For those of you who know me and my family you know we tried one of my mother in law's Wiener dogs back in December. She was a great dog for Chet and I but she was completely scared to death of the kids. They weren't rough with her but unfortunately my nephew had been rough with her in the past and we believe that was one thing that made her scared to death of children. After the way he treats dogs, I can understand her fear.

Well this weekend we were in Joplin after my son's Tae Kwon Do class, we went to eat lunch at Mazzio's and I made the suggestion that we could go by Pet Smart. (We do this occasionally, to let the kids go by and see the dogs that the local Humane Society brings in). Well much to our dismay and the children's delight we came across this little girl. She had been left inside a box with two other dogs along one of the busy streets in Joplin, Rangeline Road to be exact. This couple had found them and brought them to Pet Smart to try and find them a home. They were giving them away. Well the kids fell in love and so did I. Chet never stood a chance.

So needless to say we now have a puppy. Her name is Bella, yes from the Twilight series, (I am a major fan). So far so good, we just need to get her house trained. It's very exciting in our house. All I've got to say is the kids and her keep each other very busy. We love her.
